MOVING DOWN THE ROAD
TRIPLE "T" RV RESORT
3900 BANDERA HWY
KERRVILLE, TX 78028
We moved to Triple T this morning, December 26th. We feel like we are going to like it here better than Johnson Creek.
Johnson Creek was a pretty park down in a valley. It was just not a people friendly park and we never really felt at home there. There are not many RVers at this park but the staff is much more friendly.
The clubhouse and rental apartments are in the building behind our rig. The swimming pool, laundry room, exercise room, and dorm rooms are behind the clubhouse. (Clubhouse shown below)
Another couple from Johnson Creek was just here
and they have decided to move here tomorrow. That is two couples besides us. This couple said they didn't like all the rules over there.
Nothing is perfect but it is easy to pick up and move on if you aren't satisfied where you are.
I know some of you reading this may not know that we resigned from our workamper position and moved on. I won't go into it all on this page. Will just reiterate that we weren't happy. So, we moved on. Wish you were all in a position you could do that.
We hope everyone has a Happy New Year and we wish you the best for 2012.

BLESSED WITH A GREAT FAMILY
I am sure we all take our situations for granted and forget the many ways in which we are blessed. Recently on a blog post, I expressed that what I wanted for Christmas was for my family to be happy. This morning, reading Sharon's "Facebook", I realized that they are a happy and positive thinking group. I am robbing their posts from Facebook and reposting them here to give you all an example of what I mean:

to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Quentin is working to become an Eagle Scout, Justin is an outstanding athlete at LHS, Kolton is a leader on his basketball team and playing sax in the band, (Gma did too), Ethan is a leader on his soccer team, in class, and citizenship, Noah is also a leader on his soccer team as well as in his class. I'm quite sure Aiden is too but he is a little young yet. I'm sure he will follow in the footsteps of his brothers. You guys are all great role models for your peers.
We have been blessed with three wonderful sons who married beautiful girls. You guys are all great parents and have given us so much for which to be thankful. Thank you all so much for being who you are. You are all such a blessing to us!
I AM SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU! Merry Christmas and thank you for the gift you have given us!

C O L D ! in TEXAS
Dec 06, 2011
We are having an early cold snap here in south Texas. Wind chills are in the 20's. The actual temperature is going to be mid to low 20's tonight. This isn't what we came south for.
We have been using only our electric heater. We have used the furnace a little in the mornings to take the chill off. I think tonight we will be burning propane if it is going down to 25 or lower.
Sophie is doing pretty well and going outside to do her business. If she goes inside, she always goes to the "puppy pad". I have been impressed with the puppy pads. We never used them before.
Sharon's work schedule has changed some. She is working noon to 5:00 Sunday, and Monday and Tuesday 1:00-5:00. She doesn't have to get out early to go to work. If the sun would shine we would warm up. It has been cloudy and dreary like December in Missouri for several days. The sun is supposed to be back tomorrow and it is going to slowly warm up to the mid 50's. Next week looks warmer. Oh well, it is what it is. We knew we would have sweatshirt and jacket weather.
Several people have asked us if we will come here again next winter. Although, we do like the park and the "Hill Country", we will probably want to check out some other areas. If we are back in Texas I think we will go further south. I will have to do some research on the computer to decide. We will see how it goes here the next couple of months.
We hope the winter for you guys is not too rough. Only two more weeks til it begins!!
