"RETARDED" GRANDPARENTS

THIS IS FOR ALL OUR RETARDED RV FRIENDS

Sent to me by RV friend Darrell Moody.

"RETARDED" GRANDPARENTS

Written by  a third grader , on what his grandparents do.

After  Christmas , a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their  holiday away from school. One child

Wrote the following:

We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house , but

Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Florida . Now they live in a tin box                that has wheels, but its  strapped to the ground. They ride around on their bicycles , and wear  name                tags , because they don't know who they are anymore.

They  go to a building called a wreck center, but they must have got it fixed because it is all okay now, they do

Exercises there , but they  don't do them very well. There is a swimming pool too, but they all just jump up and

Down in it with hats on. At their gate, there is a doll house with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so  nobody can escape.

Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in  their golf carts. Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And they

Eat the same thing every night - early birds. Some of the people can't get  out past the man in the doll house.

The ones who do get out, bring food back to the wrecked center for pot luck.

My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and , says I should work hard so I can

Be retarded someday too. When I earn my retardment,  I want to be the man in the doll house. Then I will let people

Out, so they can visit their grandchildren.

PRICELESS

VISITATION UPDATE

David, soccer coach, giving Aiden & his soccer team directions. Noah's game was a rainout. ☔⚡☔☁

It was great to get to see everyone this weekend despite the rainy weather. We enjoyed Friday evening and Saturday with David, Georgia, Aiden, Noah, Ethan, & Quentin. The boys are all changing, growing, and maturing.

Sunday we went to church with Paul & Linda. We had a good visit and got to see Jeff, Tyler, & Brittany. Congratulations to Brittany who is graduating from Lee's Summit West High School. It appears she will be Valedictorian of her class and she is headed for the University of Tulsa this fall.

Today is sunny ☀and 82 degrees. We had a nice drive back to Lazy Day Campground. We will be lazy this evening and work tomorrow.

We have gotten to see all of our grandkids but Jordan. Kevin, Karen, & Justin, came to visit us at Lazy Day. We haven't forgotten him but his school & work schedule has kept him really busy. We will try to make our way toward St. Louis soon Jordan. Oh yes, Congratulations Justin and Anna, Prom Prince & Princess at St Charles Lutheran High School.

We got to see Mark, Becky, Kristen, Karissa, and Kolton soon after we arrived from TX. Karissa is also graduating this year from Harrisburg High School. She will be continuing her education at Moberly Area Community College. And, great news, Mark started work last week for TRUE MFG at Mexico.

Lots of family news. We love you all and are proud of each of you for your individual accomplishments. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
