THOMPSON CAMPGROUND

March 23, we arrived at Moberly, MO for a seven week stay. We are set up in Thompson Camping Area of Rothwell Park. It is a nice park with 24 full hookup sites. It serves our needs well and Moberly is situated only twenty miles or so from Paris, and slightly more to Columbia.  Moberly has Walmart, Aldi Grocery, Lowes, fast foods, and sit down restaurants so we are comfortable.

Longtime friends, Jim,Betsy, and Max live only a short way from the park so we are enjoying being near them. Several great visits and happy hours are already history.

           Jim and Lon making memories
                 And reliving memories.

Before coming to Moberly, we had traveled
three days from Edinburg, TX to Niangua, MO where we spent a few days with Brenda and Paul. We love spending time together and it's always a good time. While there, Paul and Lon got new tires installed on the RV's. We like to do preventive maintenance  and experience as few problems on the road as possible. Hopefully, we are ready for our trip to Montana next month.

    Sharon and Brenda-quality time together

If any of you don't know yet, we will be spending Summer 2015 in Montana. This will be our sixth workamping job.....and Lon says, the last. We will spend from Memorial Day to Labor Day working at Osen's RV Park in Livingston, not far from Yellowstone National Park.

So far the MO weather has not been been severe in this area. We are hoping the clouds with tails, as I'm seeing them called this year, will be few and far between.

We have enjoyed several visits with Sharon's father. He is as well as can be expected after his last fall. It is always good to see him but now past 90 years old, it is sad too. We are so glad we have the great memories of fun times with him through the years.

We are trying to enjoy every day while we are here. We will see friends and family in the area and will spend a week in Lee's Summit, to see David and his family and Lon's brother and his wife.

May 11, we will begin our trek west. Enjoy your summer and we plan to return, come September.

WHEREVER YOU ARE IN YOUR LIFE AND TRAVELS, ENJOY THE JOURNEY.
